It's thinner on the outside so the heel gets the cushioning it needs at heel strike. It becomes wider toward the inside of the shoe to prevent the foot from rolling too far inward or over pronating. Unlike other attempts to deal with this common problem, the Diagonal Rollbar does not throw up an inflexible barrier which might interfere with the natural motion of the foot. Rather, it provides a graduated increase that can be compared to the foot rolling up a hill. This unique solution maintains the foot in a neutral plane.
